Motorcycle Test & Training FAQs

Read the list of our frequently asked questions below to learn more about our training programmes, or click the below to contact us if you have any questions

If you have a current in date provisional or full photocard licence this is automatically your provisional entitlement for the bike and can use it on completion of CBT. If your licence shows category A with the code 79(3) this just means when you passed your car test you gained the right to ride a trike.
If you intend to gain a full motorcycle licence, you must sit a Motorcycle Theory Test. Book this directly with the Driving Standards Agency at www.gov.uk/book-a-driving-theory-test or on 0300 200 1122. You do not need to do a theory test to sit the CBT
All our instructors are qualified at least to CBT1, the standard set by the industry's governing body, the Driving Standards Agency (DSA), and are subject to regular inspection. You can rest assured that we insist on the highest standards from our team of experienced instructors.
We require full payment for a course to secure your booking. Please phone to book on 0131 526 3295 with a debit or credit card. A booking can also be placed in person at our premises on Peffermill Road. The training school is open Monday to Friday 9 am to 5.30 pm. However, we recommend calling in advance as the training office is not staffed 100 % of the time. If booking a full licence course we will need your driving licence number at the time of booking.
Be here in plenty of time. Remember, there will be other pupils attending the same course as you. We cannot shorten their day, because you are late. Dress sensibly, with warm clothing and sturdy footwear and make sure you bring both parts of your licence. You will be required to pass an eyesight test, so make sure you can read a car registration plate at a distance of 20.5 metres.

If bringing your car, park on street, where there are no restrictions. If bringing a pushbike, ask the instructors to lock it away for you.

The training school reception is situated in the brick building in front of the main showroom.

We usually break for lunch between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm. You can bring something with you, or we are within a short walk from Cameron Toll shopping centre.
